(8) Measurement. The student uses procedures to determine measures of three-dimensional figures. The student is expected to:

(A) find lateral and total surface area of prisms, pyramids, and cylinders using concrete models and nets (two-dimensional models);

(B) connect models of prisms, cylinders, pyramids, spheres, and cones to formulas for volume of these objects; and

(C) estimate measurements and use formulas to solve application problems involving lateral and total surface area and volume.

Tuesday: Solving Two-Step Equations;  HOMEWORK- Punchline 3.9 Solving two-step equations

Wednesday: Writing Two-Step Equations- Write equations for Punchline worksheet 3.11 together in class; HOMEWORK- Solve equations on Punchline worksheet 3.11

Thursday:  Use ipads and QR codes- Write and solve two-step equations in partners; emphasizing examples like (x+2)/5 = 15 and 2(x-3) = 14 without distribution; HOMEWORK- Study for the Quiz over Two-Step Equations that we will have tomorrow!!!

Friday: Quiz over Two-Step Equations;  Model Equations with Variables on both sides; Use tiles in class and work in partners to model and solve 6 equations using the models only; NO homework
